Why Create DataDays?

DataDays was created in order to make high quality data science education accesible for all people interested in learning more about the field. We offer completely free courses targeting beginner to intermediate learners, so whether you are just breaking into this field or you are brushing up on your knowledge and skills before an interview, we at DataDays are here to help you grow.

I am currently a 4th year student at UC Berkeley double majoring in Data Science and Economics. I decided to help start DataDays because growing up I didn't know anything about what data science was until I went to college and fell in love with it. Now, I want to help others access the kind of high quality, free data science education I wish I had earlier.

Alex Fischer

I am a 4th year student at the University of California, Santa Barbara studying Data Science and History. When I entered university studying Data Science, I felt like an outlier as the one kid who wasn't from the Bay Area. No one in my hometown worked in tech, and that meant none of us were aware of the power or opportunities data science presented. I joined DataDays because I want to make data science a more accessible and approachable subject for everyone, and ultimately eliminate the barriers of entry that bar so much of society from succeeding.
